  Local control requires local responsibility. You can't have spending decisions being sperated from funding decisions as the spending will ballon even faster when there is no accountability. Also, poor towns would end up subsidizing rich towns. The key to lower taxes is lower spending.

  As a childcare center owner, I can tell you, state funding is not the issue. The solution is to fix the regulatory environment surrounding the industry and getting more people into the workforce. Childcare centers have over 100 pages of regulations and the background check process delays hires. State aid, while welcomed, is a Band-Aid that does not fix the underlying problems.

  I do not support changing the existing law. Abortion is legal in NH for any reason for the first 6 months with medical exceptions after that. The notion that we need to guarantee the right to an abortion in state law implies that if the state does not explicitly say you can do something that it is somehow illegal. Setting that precedent would mean every single thing a person does (eating, breathing, sleeping, ect) would need to be codified into statue.
