  I am opposed to ANY BROAD-BASED income tax in NH. I might consider voting for a tax on earned income above a certain threshold, perhaps $1.5 million of earned income.

  Some small amount for low-income families might be OK with me, however, I feel strongly that precious state funds going to subsidize private school tuitions is not a wise use of public funds. We need to put the public back in public education.

  I believe that abortion decisions are between a woman, whomever she consults, and her medical providers. After 24 weeks gestation, there may be limited circumstances in which an abortion should be permitted, for example if it is no longer alive, or if the woman would die should she carry until she goes into labor. Therefore I am against a ban.

  Many people have a hard time finding their birth certificates and do not have a passport, so the impact of expansion of ID requirements disenfranchises some legitimate voters. The election system in NH worked great before all the new identification requirements were passed, and there was very little fraud or abuse of that system.

  However, I believe it should be on unearned income above a higher threshold for filing than it was in the recent past, before it was repealed. Perhaps for unearned income over $10,000. I'd like to ensure that fixed income retirees are not unduly penalized through taxation, so that they may experience the benefits of having saved/invested their earnings over their work lives.
