Sales tax disproportionally affects lower income people and is not a good way of funding the state.

I do not support vouchers because the Commissioner of Education stated that the school voucher program could not be audited, and House Republicans waived a bill from going to House Finance that expanded voucher eligibility costing by an unknown amount. We need to support our public schools first and if we are going to nickel and dime them then we should do the same to the private institutions receiving public funds. Several states have seen their budgets balloon solely because of these vouchers, and are backtracking as a result. We've already seen our voucher program go massively overbudget by millions of dollars and we need to reign it in.

Reproductive healthcare is something that should be left between a doctor and their patient. We need extensive education in high school because studies have shown it drives down unwanted pregnancy rates and abortions. Protecting access to these procedures means that people do not need to jump through hoops when their lives are at risk, and it ensures that they are done safely.

Voter affidavits have been effectively used for years in many states. With many forms of citizenship verification costing significant amounts to obtain, we need easy access to the right to vote for all.

New Hampshire has failed to fulfill its constitutional obligations of funding schools to an adequate level with the current funding system, and something needs to change. I co-sponsored a few bills focused on increasing school adequacy requirements this past term and plan on bringing them back with a teacher retention fund to help provide more competitive contracts across the state.

Raising taxes is vague, I would not raise taxes on working families. Billionaires and large corporations on the otherhand should pay their fair share.
